operation mincemeat

John Golden theatre

Set in 1943 at the height of World War II, Operation Mincemeat is a fast-paced, darkly comic musical retelling of the real-life British intelligence scheme to mislead the Nazis about the Allied invasion of Europe. With only a five-person cast playing dozens of roles, the show blends sharp wit, rapid costume changes, and catchy original songs to bring to life the absurd yet ingenious plan: planting false invasion documents on a corpse and setting it adrift to be discovered by enemy forces. Equal parts spy thriller and satirical romp, it celebrates the audacity, eccentricity, and sheer luck that helped change the course of the war.
