In Boop!, Betty Boop leaves her black-and-white world of ToonTown to explore the colorful, vibrant reality of New York City. After being interviewed about her identity, she wishes to be in a place where she's not recognized, uses her Grampy's teleportation device and ends up at Comic Con, where she meets jazz musician Dwayne and superfan Trisha. To hide her fame, she adopts the alias Betsy Crampwhiler. While she navigates fame, romance, and political intrigue, including a mayoral candidate who tries to exploit her. The story alternates between the two worlds, with Betty growing more confident, forming friendships, and confronting her identity.
