every brilliant thing
Hudson theatre
Every Brilliant Thing is an intimate, interactive one-person play that explores love, loss, and the small joys that make life worth living. Told from the perspective of an unnamed narrator who begins, as a child, compiling a list of "brilliant things" to help their mother cope with depression, the story unfolds over decades, weaving humor, vulnerability, and audience participation into a heartfelt journey. As the list grows, from ice cream to the smell of old books, it becomes both a coping mechanism and a celebration of life's simple pleasures, ultimately offering a tender, hopeful reflection on mental health and human connection.
